Household Waste and Recycling Collection Program

Curbside household waste and collection service takes place weekly on Wednesdays in Watford and Warwick Village, and bi-weekly in the rural area of the municipality, by Bluewater Recycling Association (BRA). 

All residential properties are provided a medium waste wheelie bin and a large recycling wheelie bin.

Note: All property owners will continue to be able to access the waste and recycling drop off location at Twin Creeks Landfill for residential waste regardless of whether they participate in the automated collection program or not.

Additional Collection Information

• To ensure your materials are collected, place your waste and recyclables at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on collection day on your designated side of the street.
• Please do not hide your container(s). Be sure not to place it behind an obstruction where it cannot be clearly seen from the roadway (e.g., behind a snow drift, hidden in tall grass, behind a hedge, etc.).
• Only containers provided by the BRA will be collected.
• If your collection falls on a holiday, collection will occur as scheduled except for Christmas and New Year’s Day where collection may be rescheduled to an alternate day.
• If you have a broken container, please contact the BRA office by calling 1-800-265-9799 extension 243 or by email.

Spring and Fall Clean Ups

The Township of Warwick provides large item disposal twice a year to its residents in the spring and fall. Dates for 2024 are June 8th and October 19th from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

• Large waste items (such as couches, washing machines, etc.) can be dropped off at Twin Creeks Landfill. Fridges and freezers must have the freon removed.
• Electronic waste items (such as televisions, computers, etc.) can be dropped off at the Public Works Depot located at 7923 Confederation Line.

Household Hazardous Waste

The County of Lambton, in conjunction with Clean Harbors Canada Inc., hosts several household hazardous waste (HHW) events each year. HHW Days take place at the Clean Harbors Canada Site at 4090 Telfer Road in St. Clair Township from March to October, at no cost to you.
