The Lambton County Library System has one library site in the Township of Warwick called the Watford Library.
Formerly known as the Watford Carnegie Library, it is one of 2,509 free public libraries around the world built by philanthropist and businessman Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie dedicated much of his life to educational causes and spent a total of $2,556,600.00 on the construction of 111 libraries in Ontario and another 14 elsewhere in Canada.
The Watford Carnegie Library received a $6,000.00 grant from the Carnegie Foundation on May 17, 1912. The building architect was W.A. Mahoney. While the library has undergone several renovations over the years, the Township of Warwick is pleased that the Watford Library is still in use today and maintains its original architectural structure.
