Community Improvement Plan (CIP) Review

The Township of Warwick is currently reviewing and updating its Community Improvement Plan (CIP). A CIP is a planning and economic development tool that helps municipalities identify priorities, set goals, and encourage investment in areas such as downtown revitalization, beautification, accessibility, housing, and business development.

The goal of this review is to ensure our CIP reflects today’s community needs and vision for the future—supporting projects that enhance quality of life, strengthen economic vitality, and build community pride across Warwick.

Progress to Date

  • CIP Steering Committee Review: Earlier this year, the Township’s CIP Steering Committee assessed the existing plan, identifying gaps, strengths, and new opportunities.

  • Community Engagement: A survey was conducted in the spring, gathering valuable input from residents, business owners, and community organizations. This feedback directly shaped the draft updated CIP.

  • Draft CIP Prepared: Based on community feedback and committee discussions, a draft plan has been created and is now ready for public review.

Next Steps

A Public Information Session will take place during the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday, September 29, 2025. Residents are encouraged to review the draft CIP in advance and share their comments:

  • Before the Meeting: Feedback can be submitted by email or phone to Township staff.

  • At the Meeting: Residents will also have the opportunity to speak and provide input directly to Council.
