Parks and Recreation Manager

The Township of Warwick is currently recruiting for a Parks and Recreation Manager.  Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk, this position requires a self-directed, energetic and team oriented problem solver to lead all activities of the Parks and Recreation Department of the Township, operating the Watford Arena, parks and facilities; coordinating ice/floor rentals and concession booth operations; responsible for recreation program development and delivery of marketing and communications activities aligned with the Township’s Strategic Plan and Parks and Recreation Master Plan; responding to emergencies; directing mechanical maintenance of departmental equipment; producing budget and operating department within budget; supervising staff; reporting to Council regularly; ensuring all record keeping, reporting and accounting for Department are carried out properly; and maintaining liaison with concerned property owners, community groups and event groups, regulatory bodies, neighbouring municipalities and County Officials and others as required.
