Warwick Township Residents Affected by Sanitary Sewer Backup Can Now Apply for Grant Program
Residents affected by last August’s rainfall that resulted in sanitary sewer backup can now apply for municipal funding to help cover costs for back flow prevention and sump pump disconnect from the storm system.
The Sump Pump Disconnect and Backwater Installation Grant Program allows residents to apply for a grant of up $3,000.00 to help cover the cost of having a backwater valve installed and/or sump pump disconnected from the sanitary sewer.
The Township will review and approve each application on a case-by-case basis beginning January 26, 2024, providing all requirements of the application are met. Preference will be given to homes located in the high-risk areas of the municipality that have a history of wastewater backups. Applications will be accepted for installations of backwater valves and/or sump pump disconnects dating back to August 23, 2023. Applications, and support information on the application process, are available at the Township Office.
