Applying for a Committee Position
Residents can make a difference in our community by serving on one of the Township's Committees. Committee members provide information to Council which contributes to the development of policies, programs, and initiatives. Your expertise, enthusiasm, and pride can make all the difference!
Committee of Adjustment and Land Division Committee |
The Committee of Adjustment and Land Division Committee meets on a monthly basis, or as-needed. The Committee is authorized under the Planning Act to consider applications for Minor Variances and Consents (Severances). Two Councillors, three appointed members of the public, and staff sit on this Committee. |
Community Improvement Plan (CIP) Committee |
The CIP Committee meets as-needed and is responsible for receiving and reviewing applications under the Community Improvement Plan (i.e., façade improvements, murals, etc.) and making recommendations to Council. Five appointed members of the public and staff sit on this committee. |
Parks & Recreation Committee |
The Parks & Recreation Committee meets on a monthly basis, or as-needed, to address parks and recreation facilities, programs, fees, etc. Two Councillors, two appointed members of the public, and staff sit on this Committee. |
Warwick Historical/Heritage Committee |
The Warwick Historical/Heritage Committee is responsible for working in collaboration with Lambton County Archives and the Lambton Heritage Museum to develop local interpretive displays and preserve historical records for the Township of Warwick, and to operate the Watford Museum during special events. The Committee makes recommendations and proposes policy directions for consideration through the Township’s Parks & Recreation Committee. |
Warwick Public Liaison Committee (WPLC) |
The Warwick Public Liaison Committee (WPLC) acts as an advisory committee pertaining to Waste Management's Twin Creeks Landfill site located within the Township of Warwick. It also acts as a forum for the exchange of information concerning the site and the concerns or special interests of local citizens. |
Warwick Township Cemetery Board |
The Warwick Township Cemetery Board meets three to four times a year to address the operation and maintenance of the three active and four inactive cemeteries owned by Warwick Township. Two Councillors, three appointed members of the public, and staff sit on this Committee. |
