Voter Information Letters
Voter Information Letters have been mailed to every eligible elector in Warwick Township. Check your mailbox for your personal PIN and instructions on how to vote.
If your Voter Information Letter does not arrive in the mail by October 14, 2022, please visit the Township Office or call us at 226-848-3926.
Voting Period and Method
The 2022 Municipal Election will be conducted using internet voting only. No paper ballots or proxies were used. Electors can vote anytime between Friday, October 14, 2022 and Monday, October 24, 2022 until 8:00 p.m.
Voter Assistance Centre
If you do not have access to a computer to vote online, or if you require assistance with electronic voting, please visit the Voter Assistance Centre at the Township Office located at 5280 Nauvoo Road, Watford. The Voter Assistance Centre will be equipped with touch screens and staff who can assist you.
The Voter Assistance Centre will be available on the following dates and times:
- Monday, October 17, 2022 to Friday, October 21, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
- Monday, October 24, 2022 (Election Day) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Identification Requirements at Voter Assistance Centre
Listed below is a partial list of acceptable identification. In lieu of an original piece of identification showing identity and residency, a certified or notarized copy of a document showing name, qualifying address, and signature will be accepted. If you forget this notice you may still vote. However, you may experience delays. Your Voter Information Letter cannot be used as identification. The following is a list of some examples of acceptable identification:
- An Ontario driver’s license;
- An Ontario Photo ID card;
- An Ontario motor vehicle permit (vehicle portion);
- A cancelled personalized cheque;
- A mortgage statement, lease, or rental agreement relating to property in Ontario;
- An insurance policy or insurance statement;
- A loan agreement or other financial agreement with a financial institution;
- A document issued or certified by a court in Ontario; and
- Any other document from the government of Canada, Ontario, or a municipality in Ontario, or from an agency of such a government document from a Band Council in Ontario established under the Indian Act (Canada).
