Sports and Recreation Programming 

The Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to offer a variety of recreational and leisure programs for Warwick Township residents and surrounding community members. Below is a listing of current recreational programs (dates and times are subject to change). A full program schedule is available for viewing on our events calendar page. 

Everyone Plays Recreation Fee Assistance Program 

The Everyone Plays program has been established to support Warwick Township residents and families, to enable access to participate in recreation and leisure programming. This Initiative provides recreation program fee assistance for eligible individuals and families, allowing increased access to Township led recreation & leisure programs and services, regardless of financial situation.

Please submit the completed application form to the Parks and Recreation Manager at the Parks and Recreation Office located at 61 Centennial Ave Watford ON. 

East Lambton Community Complex- Lambton Mutual Gymnasium Program Schedule

Schedule Subject to change. Scheduled programs start September 8, 2025. Fall Winter Scheduling runs September to April each year

Schedule of Events

Drop in Basketball 

Drop-in on Wednesdays from 5:00-7:45p.m. for basketball. Limited equipment, indoor shoes only.

 

Warwick Badminton 

Drop in on Tuesday evenings for Warwick Badminton. Have a smashing good time! Limited equipment available. Indoor shoes only. 

  • Youth (ages 6 to 12 years) from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. 
  • Ages 13+ from 7:00 to 9:00p.m.  

 Warwick Volleyball League 

Adult Recreational Volleyball League on Thursdays from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Registration is required. For more information, visit the Warwick Volleyball website. If you have any questions regarding the season or registration, please reach out to the Warwick Volleyball League by email.

  • Registration is available online.
 Walk with Warwick - ELCC 

Indoor walking this fall and winter. Indoor shoes only. 

  • Monday and Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. 
  • Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. 

 'Open Play' Adult Pickleball 

'Open Play" Adult Pickleball at the East Lambton Community Complex. 

  • Monday and Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 
  • Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

 Shuffle Up and Deal 

Shuffle Up and Deal 

Join us on Mondays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the East Lambton Community Complex Community Meeting Room for Bid-Euchre.

Program Cost: $3.00 per person

The money received from the program goes directly into supporting the Shuffle Up and Deal Program.

 'Open Play' Adult Cornhole

Drop in on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30p.m. at the East Lambton Community Complex for 'Open Play' Adult Cornhole.  Boards are provided with a limited supply of bags. Indoor Shoes Only. 

 Warwick Youth Cooking- Watford 

Join the Township of Warwick Parks and Recreation Department along with the East Lambton YMCA for a 1.5 hour cooking class at the East Lambton Community Complex- Kitchen.

Warwick Youth Cooking- Warwick 

Join the Township of Warwick Parks and Recreation Department for a 1.5 hour cooking class at the Warwick Community Centre.

Community Event Alert!: The Watford Optimist Club is inviting you to the Bluebird Parkette on Sunday October 19 between 11a.m. to 3:00p.m. for the first Optimist Chess in the Park day! Aimed at youth but open to all come out and enjoy a day of chess. Event will be "Open Table" and any style of play welcome! Chess sets and clocks will be provided. Another great community event and partnership with the Parks and Recreation Department.

Join us on March 1, 2025 for the 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament at the East Lambton Community Complex. Registration is required. Please note this event is 19+. $75.00 per team.

Join us at the Warwick Community Centre for indoor walking on Tuesdays from 9:00-10:00a.m. Warwick Community Centre 7074 Egremont Rd Warwick Village. Schedule subject to change indoor shoes required. 

East Lambton Community Complex and Warwick Community Centre Spring and Summer Programs and Outdoor Activities

Warwick Youth Baseball 2025 

Thank you to all that joined us for another year of Warwick Youth Baseball! We look forward to welcoming new and returning players for the 2026 Summer ball season. This program will include progressive instructional sessions focusing on the fundamentals of baseball. Including hitting catching throwing fielding and game play.

Community Park Clean Up Day 2025 

Let's engage and encourage getting outdoors through active participation and clean up our Parks! Join the Parks and Recreation Department on April 26, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the East Lambton Community Complex. Register with the Parks and Recreation Department by phone at 519-876-2808 or by email.

June is Parks and Recreation Month! Access to parks and recreation is a fundamental human need that helps foster personal health, strong communities, and social inclusions. JRPM celebrates parks and recreation services and raises awareness for the role they play as a pathway to individual, community, and environmental well-being.

Open Play Adult Pickleball - Summer 2025 

Join us at the East Lambton Community Complex Lambton Mutual Gymnasium for Open Play Adult Pickleball. Schedule subject to change and limited equipment available. 

  • Mondays from 6:30-8:30p.m. (Mid April - Start of September)
  • Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 
  • Fridays from 4:45-6:45p.m.  (Mid April - Start of September)

Shuffle Up and Deal 

Join us on Mondays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the East Lambton Community Complex Community Meeting Room for cards. There is a cost of $3.00 per person and the money received from the program goes directly into supporting the Shuffle Up and Deal Program. 

Shuffle Up and Deal does not take place on Holidays. Schedule subject to change. 

Canada Day - 2025 

Wear your red and white and celebrate Canada Day on June 28, 2025 at Centennial Park in Watford. Celebrations start at 11a.m.and go till 2p.m. Activities include inflatables, face painting and much more ! Free hot dogs and cupcakes to ring in the celebrations. 

Game On! Youth After School Drop in 

Join us at the East Lambton Community Complex on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30p.m. for Game ON- Youth After School Drop-in sessions. This program is designed for youth grades 3-8 to drop in and play a multitude of sports including basketball, pickleball, badminton, volleyball and much more. Program finished for the 2024-2025 school year. Returning for the 2025-2026 School Year.
